It’s time to head back to school and your pup is coming along for the fun!
Join us for this month’s Paws on the Patio as we celebrate Bark to School with an evening of tail-wagging fun for the whole family.
Grab your favorite teacher-inspired treats, bring your four-legged student, and get ready for a fun night filled with themed activities, photo opportunities, local pet businesses, community organizations, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow pet lovers.
Whether your pup is ready to hit the books or just happy to be your favorite class clown, there’s something for everyone. Come make some memories, discover local pet resources, and enjoy a night out with your best friend!
No dog? No problem! Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy the festivities.

This Month's Activities
School Photos Booth
Say cheese, class! 🎓🐾 Grab your pup and head to the Bark to School photo booth for a picture-perfect school day memory. Choose a fun word board like Class Clown, Prom Queen, Ivy League Bound, and more, then strike a pose and let your pup show off their personality. Whether they’re the star student or the class troublemaker, it’s the perfect way to capture some pawsome memories at Paws on the Patio!
Double Scoop Toss
Time to hit the books… and the buckets! 📚🐾 Dogs and their humans team up for this paws-itively fun twist on classic bean bag toss. Handlers guide their pup to pick up a bean bag and carry it to the “school” containers, with different sizes worth different point values. The smaller the container, the bigger the score! The top-scoring duo will earn a sweet treat and bragging rights as top of the class! 🎓
Scooby Says
Class is in session! 🎓🐾 It’s time to see who’s been paying attention! In Scooby Says, dogs and their humans will put their listening skills to the test as they follow Scooby’s commands. Sit, stay, spin, shake and whatever else Scooby says! But watch out…if Scooby doesn’t say it, don’t do it! The last pup still following directions earns some serious top-of-the-class bragging rights.
Ready for Recess?
Put your pup’s nose to work in this fun sniff-and-seek adventure! Follow the trail through our “school” to sniff out hidden treats along the way. The fastest pup in each time slot will earn a special prize, but every student gets to enjoy the hunt!
Look what I made!
Remember when your kids came home from school with a special piece of artwork made just for you? Now it’s your pup’s turn! We’ll place cardstock and paint inside a zip-top bag, then let your dog lick a tasty treat from the outside. Their nose and tongue will create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece for you to take home, because every good student should bring home some artwork from Bark to School! 🎓
Stack a Treat Tower
Steady hands required! While your pup eagerly waits (or sneaks a snack), see how quickly you can stack the treats into a towering masterpiece. It's a fun test of patience, balance, and teamwork!

One of the goals of Paws on the Patio is to help connect adoptable pets with loving homes. Each month, we invite local rescue organizations to join us and share information about their mission, introduce adoptable pets, and connect with members of our community.

Supporting Our Community
Each month, we'll be collecting much-needed supplies for the animals at Chatham County Animal Services. These donations help provide comfort, enrichment, and daily care for pets awaiting adoption. Any items not needed by the shelter will be distributed to our rescue partners to support animals in foster care and community assistance programs throughout Coastal Georgia.
