About the Course
Stay Secure: Safety Certification Renewal Class
This renewal class is designed for sitters and walkers who previously completed the Stay Secure safety course and wish to extend their certification for another year. The session includes a refresher on key safety protocols, updates on best practices, and a review of real-world escape cases to reinforce decision-making and emergency response skills.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and practice any hands-on techniques they’d like to review.
Successful completion renews your certification for one year and keeps your listing active on the TRAPS website as a trusted sitter or walker.
Note: This class is only open to individuals who completed the original certification within the last 18 months.

Mandy Sperrey
Mandy Sperrey is a seasoned pet safety advocate and the founder of Trapping Rescuing Advocating and Providing Support (TRAPS), an organization dedicated to preventing pet escapes and reuniting lost pets with their families. With years of hands-on experience working with skittish pets, medical cases, and humane trapping, Mandy has become a trusted resource for both pet owners and rescue organizations throughout the region.
Her calm, thoughtful approach to animal behavior and her passion for education have helped countless pet sitters, fosters, and volunteers feel more confident and prepared to keep animals safe under their care. Mandy has developed and led community workshops on escape prevention, humane handling, and safe pet transport, and she continues to work cases in the field to help bring lost pets home.

Gianna Orecchio is the owner and head trainer of Cash Money Canine LLC, a Savannah-based dog training and pet care company specializing in behavior modification, obedience, and enrichment. With a background in dog training and a commitment to positive reinforcement methods, Gianna has developed a reputation for delivering real results in pet behavior and care.
